Top Web Design and Development Trends

New Year is a time to look at the new trends of 2019. In the field of web design, creative always gives rise to interesting concepts, incredible ideas and creative solutions. Consider the main global trends in web design in the examples, and how relevant and applicable such solutions are with us.

1. Easy typography
In the trend in 2014 will be fonts. But not standard with serifs or without, but with some twist. It is expected that more and more websites will move away from the usual familiar and boring fonts in the direction of interesting finds, rare solutions that correspond to the general concept of the site.


2. Flat design
With the release of iOS 7, the socalled “flat design” has gained wide popularity. Already quite a few sites have used this solution and it is predicted that this trend will continue to grow.

3. Great photos in background
Large substrates replace the sliders. This is often called the “Intro” area - wide images at the top of the site with a bit of text. It may be just blurred photos in the background with the title in the center or carrying some kind of semantic image. One of the main trends of 2014.


4. Focus on mobile
More and more devices have access to the Internet and developers strive to ensure that viewing the site from any of them is as convenient as possible. Choosing between a separate design for the mobile version and adaptive for all devices, preference is given to the latter. First of all, it’s more convenient for designers to work with a common idea, and secondly, it’s more common for a user to see a site similar.

5. Video instead of text
Why read if you can see? The speed limit of the Internet connection is no longer so important, so the problem of downloading videos goes into the background, although much, in general, depends on traffic.  

6. Infinite scrolling
Recently, many sites began to appear, where instead of scrolling through the pages, their gradual loading is used - endless scrolling, although still conditionally infinite. However, many by virtue of habit still consider the first option more convenient.


7. Simple color schemes
Using one or two colors is a lot like flat design, which is also considered a trend for web design 2014. Black and white are also popular now, but adding another one, for example, red, will create additional expression.  

8. Simplified content
Short text is perceived more simply, so it is the very short lines of content, a la Twitter, that are very popular. Of these, you can always easily grasp the essence of the record without spending a lot of time reading "water."

9. Refusal of the sidebar
This trend is characteristic of blogs, journaling sites. This allows the visitor to visually concentrate on the content of the main material.


10. Manipulation of images
In image processing, it is becoming increasingly popular to use various instagram effects . Photos in this style on the site will be a trend in 2014.


And what about us?
In Belarus, there have recently been many interesting developments using some of the above trends. Basically this is a flat design, simplified content and interesting fonts. Many people do not want to spend money on developing mobile versions or responsive design, considering it an unnecessary refinement.
