  • FOSSIL AND SKAGEN SMARTWATCHES NOW HAVE ALEXA
    카테고리 없음 2022. 3. 14. 21:26

Amazon's Alexa voice assistant is a worthy rival to Google Assistant and Siri. Because of this, Fossil and Skagen formed a partnership to use Alexa on some of their smartwatches. After a long wait, the voice assistant is finally available for use.

Right now, Wear OS watches come preloaded with Google Assistant. This assistant is a really powerful tool, but Amazon Alexa is still nothing to complain about. That's why it has become a popular alternative to Google Assistant and Siri despite not having a dedicated smartphone platform.

AMAZON ALEXA NOW ON SELECT FOSSIL AND SKAGEN SMARTWATCHES
A couple of months ago we received news that Amazon Alexa would be available on select Fossil watches and Skagen Wear OS. When the Skagen Falster Gen 6 was launched, users noticed the Alexa app on it. When you click on the application, the text "Coming soon" will appear. It was a bit of a bummer given that neither company has given an exact launch date.

Now, three months later, Alexa has finally appeared on this watch. When you activate the assistant for the first time, you will need to perform a ritual: give him access to your microphone and other parts of your watch.

After that, to use Alexa, you need to go to your paired smartphone and download the Alexa app. After installation, you will need to go to the "Devices" section and add a smart watch. After that, you will be able to use Alexa.

THERE ARE ONLY A FEW RESTRICTIONS
According to 9To5Google, Alexa works well on dedicated Skagen and Fossil smartwatches. There are only a few restrictions to be aware of. First, you cannot access Alexa using voice commands. You will need to do this manually on the smartwatch. The app will recommend that you use the shortcut button to speed up the process.

Also, when you're viewing results or doing a search, Alexa doesn't give you a verbal response. The results will be displayed as text on the screen, so you will need to read them. Plus, using Alexa on this smartwatch should be a pleasure.

Apple Watch Series 7 release date, features and specifications
While not the most revolutionary part of the Apple Watch, our experience with the Watch Series 7 has made it clear that it is still the best smartwatch, and perhaps the Apple Watch Series 8 will have more groundbreaking features that Apple is no doubt working on. ...

OCTOBER: HUAWEI WATCH GT3 GETS HARMONY OS
2021 in wearables: revisiting the biggest launches of the year

October was another busy month for launches with the landing of the 3rd Generation Oura Ring, while Mobvoi released the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra, giving one of the best Wear OS smartwatches a rugged look, making it another of their smartwatches that, seems to be prepared for the new Wear OS 3.

However, the standout launch of the month went to the Huawei Watch GT 3, the Chinese tech giant's second smartwatch with the new Harmony OS platform, which includes software features from the more expensive Huawei Watch 3, such as the new grid launcher and Huawei's AppGallery storefront. ...

It also inherited design features from the Watch 3 and offered improved screens over its predecessor, the Watch GT 2.

It's a watch that is clearly geared towards runners with dual-and GNSS positioning carried over from the Watch 3 Pro for improved outdoor tracking accuracy, and features such as personal training plans, an AI trainer, and advanced running analytics also added to the mix. ...

When we finally got to test out the Huawei Watch GT 3, we were definitely big fans of it, offering a cheaper route to Huawei's new OS, but it also made us wonder if there would be a Huawei Watch GT 3e after it .

Remember the good old days when Motorola offered some of the nicest Wear OS smartwatches to wear on your wrist? Of course, that didn't make up for Google's not-so-antastic smartwatch operating system. The original Moto 360 seemed like a long time ago, but CE Brands, which is now licensed for the Moto 360, rebooted the watch recently and the latest version was released this November with the arrival of the Moto Watch 100.

At less than $ 100, the Watch 100 promised up to two weeks of battery life, 26 sport profiles, heart rate and blood oxygen sensors, a silver and black exterior, but there was no sign of built-n GPS 100. according to rumors, he was going to pack his things. More notable, however, was the lack of Google's Wear OS as it runs on a dedicated operating system called Moto Watch OS.

It only launched in the US and Canada and served as an example of some of the old Wear OS hardware partners looking for other ways to offer this software experience outside of Google.
