  • How to Choose Flipcharts & Thin Printer Paper Art Supplies Store?
    News 2021. 9. 23. 19:22

    It is difficult for most people to perceive information solely by ear. Preparing handouts with diagrams, graphs and short formulations is troublesome and costly, drawing on a blackboard with chalk is long and not always convenient. In this case, convenient flipcharts come to the rescue, which do not need to be cleared of written and take up a minimum of space; in addition, they can be used for recording in different colors.

    Flipchart - whiteboard for writing with markers
    Flipcharts are magnetic boards designed to record important information during a lecture, seminar, meeting, etc. This is a sheet of paper (or other material) attached to a structure that resembles an easel. Depending on the type of flipchart, they write on it with markers, attach stickers or pictures to it using magnets.

    Flipcharts are more compact than wood and other chalkboards. You can draw diagrams and graphs on them, returning to the information already submitted at any time.

    You can buy a flipchart from art store both for organization and for individual use, for example, for a person who often conducts trainings and meetings.

    Where is the flipchart used?
    Flipcharts are convenient because they are easy to transfer from one room to another, to use in the open air (with the exception of large models). They are applied:

    in preschool institutions for the development of the creative abilities of children (it is better to choose models with adjustable height);
    educational institutions - schools and universities during lectures and seminars, to demonstrate schemes during the defense of scientific papers;
    offices for fixing a work plan for a week or a month;
    during trainings, open lectures;
    during meetings at enterprises;
    when holding competitions, relay races, team building events for visual fixation of the results;
    for recording ideas during brainstorming, developing a concept for a new product or manufacturing process.
    Types and variants of execution
    By the type of media on which the information is recorded:

    paper - in the form of a large notepad with a holder for sheets. Pages can be flipped or torn off. The paper for them is sold in the form of a bundle of sheets, a block of appropriate sizes or a roll;
    with a plastic or wooden surface. They also write on it with a marker, a special sponge is included in the kit, which allows you to quickly erase what you have written. This option is more economical - no need to buy paper. These flipcharts come in one and two sides. However, over time, the marker ink can be absorbed into the plastic board, as there is no way to return to the recorded information after it has been erased.
    A flipchart resembles an easel, which can be:

    fixed - on a tripod;
    mobile - on wheels;
    large roll-up - installed in one room, usually in an auditorium, where recordings are made during lectures and meetings; if necessary, the flipchart can be used as a screen for a projector. There are oversized models, consisting of several boards with a folding mechanism for easy transport.

    How to find thin printer paper

    In the list of materials required for the work of any office, paper for the printer is always listed as number one  . Everyone has come across a situation when the device pulls several sheets at once during printing or even "chews" them. In such cases, we usually blame the device, but in fact, the reason may be in the wrong consumable. Manufacturers produce a wide range of office paper today, but not every one is suitable for a printer. Paper for office equipment is distinguished primarily by its density, whiteness and sheet format.

    Printer paper specifications
    The thicker the paper, the higher its weight. For the thinnest this figure is 40-60 g / m² but usually use instances density of 80-90 g / m 2 . For comparison, the density of the cardboard is 320 g / m 2 and that of newspaper pages is 60 g / m 2 .

    Whiteness is measured as a percentage and is important for print legibility. 65–84% is the average. And if you plan to print on both sides, the opacity of the paper is also important. It should be noted that there are varieties created specifically for inkjet printers. They absorb ink well without leaving streaks. There is also a special type for laser printers, suitable for printing text under the influence of high temperatures.

    Glossy and matte paper
    Of particular note is the photographic paper. It is glossy and matte. Thin glossy is ideal for printing advertising flyers, leaflets, posters, information brochures, since initially it is assumed that such products will not be used for a long time. It produces a high-quality and contrasting image that subtly conveys colors, because the paint falls on a glossy surface quite evenly. It can also be used to print reproductions, posters and large format photographs.

    The moisture content of the paper is also important for excellent printing. Normally, the moisture content should not exceed 6–8%. Therefore, you should make sure that the paper immediately after purchase lies in the room for at least a day in summer and three days in winter.
